EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS
- Minimum – Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or related field (or expected graduation in Spring/Summer 2024)
- Minimum – One (1) year of practica or predoctoral internship experience in a Health Psychology medical setting.
- Preferred – Specific practica or predoctoral internship experience in Reproductive Health Psychology or Fertility Counseling in a medical setting.
- Minimum – Eligible to register as a postdoctoral fellow or “psychological assistant” under the license of Spring’s Reproductive Health Psychologist in the states of OR, CA and/or NY.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to join our expanding integrated services team to provide psychological services to Spring patients, and wellness-focused training and coaching to Spring staff.
- Work with our Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Team to provide psychological assessments for patients undergoing fertility interventions including invitro fertilization, third party reproduction using donor egg, donor sperm, or donor embryo, gestational surrogacy, and fertility preservation.
- Provide psychological treatment to patients who are having difficulty coping with their reproductive health challenges (group, individual and couple psychotherapy) in an outpatient behavioral health setting. Areas of focus can include reproductive and sexual health, perinatal and maternal mental and/or physical health concerns, reproductive loss and trauma.
- Contribute to program development, which may include a role on the Spring Ethics Committee, spearheading psychosocial research, training and streamlining psychology department processes according to ASRM guidelines.
- Provide regular trainings to clinic staff on topics such as: Difficult Conversations with Patients, Empathy and Compassion Fatigue, Self-care and Burnout, Inclusive and Trauma-Informed Patient Care
- Assist Reproductive Health Psychologist in organizational psychology recommendations within Spring Fertility through coaching and support for Leadership, Managers and Providers.
