The Stujenske Lab uses mice to study the cognitive regulation of emotion. The lab uses state-of-the-art techniques to record and manipulate neural circuits including two photon calcium imaging, in vivo electrophysiology with high density probes, machine learning models, and optogenetics. The employee will be working on collecting neural circuit data in awake behaving mice, developing novel techniques for probing neural circuits, and/or analyzing high dimensional data. Preferably candidates would have prior experience with at least one of the following: working with mice in a research context, systems neuroscience techniques, engineering, or computer programming.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration or related area of study and three years of relevant research and/or clinical experience is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of project spending and funds available.
  • Coordinate the daily activities and special projects for department.
  • Coordinate scheduling of assessments.
  • Assist with quality assurance over all aspects of data collection and management, including data flow, data entry and verification, maintenance of all project databases, data security and confidentiality.
  • Provides regular supervision for junior staff.
  • Responsible for preparing and modifying IRB protocols, Regulatory Binders, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the research, clinical, and administrative staff related to this research.
  • Coordination of recruitment ie. Advertisements, tracking recruitment, and developing strategies to increase response in targeted populations.
  • Responsible for the submission of regular reports detailing the progress of the research, including NIH progress reports.
