Reseach Assistant

at  NATIONAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL SINGAPORE PTE LTD

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join the multidisciplinary CDU team to work on the design, implementation and evaluation of community-based interventions to promote child health and development. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop and lead translational research projects using new and existing data sets.

Undertake a variety of research study-related activities including but not limited to:

• Assist with day to day running for project STANDARD and other research studies within CDU
• Working closely with the team lead, research fellow, cross-disciplinary research teams and local and international collaborators.
• Contribute to preparation of study-related materials for presentation at internal and external meetings
• Contribute to the writing of research reports, and administrative support for peer-reviewed publications
• Work with children and consenting caregivers where and if needed

Job Requirements:

• A degree in Psychology/Behavioral Science/Developmental Psychology/Education/Public Health or a related discipline
• Experience doing clinical or community-based programme research and related activities
• Keen interest in the area of early child development and/or health behaviours.
• A team player with an ability to work independently
• Excellent command of spoken and written English

• Highly motivated, proactive, and goal-orientedExperience working with children and/or families and an interest in applied research is an asset for this position.

• Note: CDU is located at 3 sites (NUH main site at Kent ridge, CDU @ Keat Hong Community club
  and CDU @ Jurong Medical Center), travelling between sites and to locations where our community
  partners are, is required. Some of the research which are conducted in the community, will also
  require staff to travel and recruit patients from the respective sites. While in the clinics, research
  assistant would use hot desks, working from home is not routine in our clinical settin
