Description
The Department of Medicine is seeking a Research Administrator to support the Principal Investigator of our research projects. Key responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of quarterly and yearly reports, managing and analyzing data, handling administrative documents, and maintaining email communication with investigators and fund managers. Data management involves preparing and submitting datasets in accordance with NIH guidelines, uploading protocols to protocol.io, and collaborating with other NIH-funded groups to ensure timely and accurate dataset submissions. Additional duties include organizing meetings, scheduling and setting up teleconferences with investigators, and assisting with the submission of manuscripts and protocols to regulatory boards such as IACUC, biosafety, and IRB committees. Hourly range: $28.20-$60.57
Qualifications
Required:
- Skills in using PC software such as: Word for Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, PhotoShop, EndNote
- Knowledge of submission process for animal, biosafety and IRB applications
- Skill in performing within a framework of conflicting demands, competing time frames and frequent interruptions and/or distractions and to modify work schedule to meet changing demands
- Ability to prioritize and organize duties and tasks, and to manage and work with complex datasets with minimal supervision
- Ability to prepare detailed protocols based on manuscripts and datasets
- Ability to work with multi-investigators in multi-disciplinary teams, and work independently
