Description:

The Psychology Department, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Research Aide to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. The Cognition and Brain Circuitry Laboratory is directed by Dr. David Osher, visit www.davidosher.com for additional information. The Research Technician 1 conducts neuroscience research on the functional and structural architecture of the human brain, and its role in cognition; recruits participants and runs behavioral and brain-imaging experiments using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), diffusion weighted imaging (DWI), functional connectivity, and behavioral assessments, supervised by a graduate student of the primary investigator; develops project materials (training manuals, presentations, observation codebook, assessment packets) and implementation protocols; develops training materials and implementation protocols; helps to design study measures (questionnaires surveys, test protocols); implements timely IRB renewals, keeps track of CITI training for personnel; aids new personnel and students in getting set up on IRBs, MRI safety training, and computational resources; coordinates lab meetings; maintains lab website; coordinates lab mailing list; requisitions new laboratory materials and equipment and prepares administrative paperwork, including purchases, reimbursements, and filing human subjects (protocols). This position is available for one year with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
Minimum Education Required - Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Neuroscience

The pay range for this job profile is $14.57 - $19.43 . The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
