Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Serve as keyholder for the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS); complete and submit IPEDS surveys.

  • Complete and submit Enhanced Missouri Student Achievement Study (EMSAS) reports to the Missouri Department of Higher Education and the Workforce Development (MDHEWD).
  • Complete and submit external surveys such as College Board, Peterson’s Undergraduate Survey, Princeton Review, Open Doors International Student Census Survey, FAEIS surveys and the Common Data Set.
  • Responsible for submission of data to the National Council for Statue Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-Sara).
  • Responsible for updating and submitting academic program information into the Eligible Training Provider System (ETPS).
  • Administration and analysis of institutional surveys including, but not limited to customer service satisfaction surveys, campus climate surveys and graduate employment outcomes surveys.
  • Coordinator of internal and external requests for institutional information.
  • Analyze demographic and academic performance data to support and inform recruitment, admissions, retention, enrollment, and academic program planning.
  • Facilitate creation of interactive dashboards to provide data to stakeholders; update dashboards using Table and Excel databases.
  • Coordinate and administer faculty course evaluations with SmartEvals.
  • Utilize National Student Clearinghouse to track students in federal cohort; calculate retention and graduation rates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the social sciences, statistics, business, computer science or other relevant field.
  • Five or ten years of progressive experience in institutional research and/or institutional assessment at a post-secondary institution.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Experience working with large data sets, data extraction, data validation and cleaning, data analysis and reporting is required.
  • Proficiency with social science research methodologies and statistics.
  • Experience querying data from all modules of Colleague Datatel system is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and strong organizational skills are required.
  • Advanced experience with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher) is required.
  • Experience with Tableau is preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Light sedentary office work.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
