Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent of this position is responsible for pointer and case resolution using AAMVA’s State to State system (SPEXS). This includes analysis of information supplied to us (via AAMVA) concerning identity and driving history and/ or information contained within the Massachusetts licensing database. Incumbents are required to make decisions and correct records concerning identity when duplicate files exist in other jurisdictions to achieve one person‐ one identity mandate of Real –ID. Incumbent is specialized in the ATLAS licensing system and often are tasked with expert user capabilities not available to Service Center functionality. Daily, the incumbent process’s licensing/identity information (including images of documents and of persons) to determine whether a potential duplicate match is the same person. Such work often includes Enforcement Services and State Police when potential fraud is detected. Assist Business Support, Driver Licensing, Registrar’s Office, Hearing Officers, and Service Centers for license resolution.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes work items assigned through relevant designated ATLAS work queues; including OOS Notifications and AAMVA work queues.
  • Ensures timely processing of all AAMVA related work items and pointer action requests.
  • Utilizes telephone software, Five-9, providing license resolution to the public, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Researches and analyzes data in conjunction with counterpart officials in other jurisdictions to establish the appropriate “pointer” –the determination as to which jurisdiction is the State of Record.
  • Analyzes and determines the applicability of data, to draw conclusions and appropriate determinations of driver license records and eligibility.
  • Perform Merge Requests of duplicate records- Communicate with supervisor, hearings officers, & MRB units to confirm dispositions of criminal and civil matters to ensure accuracy of driving record.
  • Collaborates with Out of State DMV counterparts and internal stakeholders to correct errors on DMV databases ensuring licensing information is correct, accurate and consistent.
  • Maintains awareness of rules, regulations, and compliance changes as introduced by FMCSA, AAMVA, DHS and/or other authorities affecting the issuance of credentials.
  • Open and follow-up on Service Now Tickets or work with Supervisor to document and report system issues and/or errors.
  • Follows RMV security procedures according to Registry policy and Code of Conduct.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties and special projects.
