Description:
The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is an international NGO that supports the building of democratic societies around the world. IFES has been implementing its 2019-2024 Strategic Plan over the past five years with a focus on key strategic and institutional outcomes elaborated under the plan. As the implementation of this plan comes to an end and IFES is starting development of its 2024-2029 Strategic Plan, it seeks to assess progress made under the current plan and apply lessons learned to the next strategic plan. IFES has received funding from SIDA for parts of its strategic plan and this evaluation is also being funded by SIDA.
IFES is planning to conduct an end-term evaluation of its 2019-2024 Strategic Plan, and requires the services of a Research Consultant (Consultant) to support data collection, analysis, and reporting for the evaluation. The Consultant will work in collaboration with members of the IFES Center for Applied Research & Learning to undertake this assignment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least a Master’s Degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Statistics or related fields;
- At least 10 years of proven experience in developing and conducting social research, and especially in the Democracy, Rights, and Governance (DRG) sector;
- Experience in managing and coordinating research assignments, including delivering agreed outputs on time;
- Experience in advising organizations on their planning processes using research data;
- Ability and flexibility to work /respond to comments and questions in a timely and appropriate manner.
