QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: Bachelor¿s degree in science and 0 to 1 year of experience or Associate’s degree in an approved biotechnology program and 0 to 2 years of experience required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the molecular and cell biology fields.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment.
• Ability to meet consistent attendance.
• Ability to interact with colleagues, students, and supervisors face to face.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform research work in biomedical, molecular biology, and cell biology and their related techniques which requires the use of lab skills in these areas. (57%)
• Conduct analysis of samples, which may include quantifying band intensity on western blot analyses and T cell isolation and growth. (15%)
• Maintain records of experiments, procedures; and record results of experiments in hard bound lab notebook, or computer-based notebook. (13%)
• Maintain test equipment utilized in experiments. Maintain a safe, efficient, clean, and organized work environment for all researchers in the lab, participating in laboratory chores and on the outlook for reagents that need replacement. (12%)
