Primary Duties:

The candidate will be required to perform a variety of project-related duties in the principal investigator’s research laboratory. The primary duties include:

  • Writing of articles
  • Conducting knowledge synthesis such as systematic reviews, scoping reviews
  • Recruit participants
  • Coordination of research projects and participation in team meetings
  • Participate in the collection and analysis of qualitative/quantitative data including basic behavioral analysis)
  • Contribution to tasks related to knowledge transfer (e.g. drafting of scientific reports and article)
  • Administrative or clerical tasks including minutes of meetings
  • Contribution to grant applications
  • Complete IRB documents (e.g., write a research protocol) and facilitate IRB submission process
  • The list of tasks is not exhaustive.

Education and Experience:

Academic level: Minimum of master degree in dentistry or in a related field (e.g. health and social services, public health, social sciences)

  • Demonstrate an interest in dental research
  • Technology skills: Office© suite, reference management software, and qualitative and quantitative analysis software (e.g. EndNote, NVivo/QDA MINER, SPSS, Covidence, Revman, or other data management and analysis software)
  • Language skills: Bilingual French-English, oral and written
  • The successful candidate must have several personal skills: Rigor, teamwork, excellent adaptability and analytical skills, motivated, sense of responsibility, initiative, communication skills, management of priorities and autonomy

Other Qualifying Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in dental research
  • Knowledge of the dental field desirable
  • Experience in knowledge mobilization
  • At least two years’ experience in research including team coordination, budget follow-up of research grants
  • Experience in working across sectors and in partnerships
