We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Assistant (Applied Chemistry) to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary : As a Research Assistant (Applied Chemistry) specializing in Nanoencapsulation & New Product Development, you will play a significant role in our mission to advance active/drug delivery technologies. Your expertise in chemistry and passion for technology translation will contribute to the development of novel nanoencapsulation techniques and the creation of groundbreaking products.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct research and experiments to develop efficient nanoencapsulation techniques for various compounds, with a focus on personal care delivery applications.
- Formulate and optimize encapsulation protocols to ensure stability, controlled release, and enhanced bioavailability of encapsulated compounds.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (internal and external) to develop innovative, market-oriented products based on nanoencapsulation technology.
- Perform characterization studies (e.g. HPLC, GPMS, DLS, UV-VIS, etc) to evaluate the physicochemical properties of encapsulated compounds, including particle size distribution & release kinetics.
- Use statistical analysis and design of experiments (DOE) principles to optimize and troubleshoot encapsulation processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in nanoencapsulation technologies, products, and contribute to intellectual property development and patent filings.
- Analyze and interpret research data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to internal stakeholders and scientific conferences.
- Participate in technical discussions with potential customers and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Some background and expertise in nanoencapsulation techniques is favourable
- Familiarity with characterization techniques such as HPLC, GPMS and DLS.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and DOE principles to optimize and troubleshoot processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present scientific concepts effectively.
