Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Research Assistant (RA) to join our team, focusing on research and development of educational applications of generative artificial intelligence (AI). The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical prowess, creative thinking, and a passion for education in the digital age. This role involves both research and practical development tasks aimed at harnessing the power of generative AI to revolutionize teaching, learning, and creative processes in humanities education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and test innovative educational tools and resources powered by generative AI.
  • Participate in the development of grant proposals and research papers on the impact of generative AI in humanities education.
  • Support the creation of educational materials and resources that incorporate generative AI technologies, aiming to enhance learning experiences in the humanities.
  • Engage with educators, students, and academic staff to gather feedback and insights on the use and effectiveness of AI-driven educational tools.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in AI, machine learning, and computational technologies, assessing their potential implications for education.

Qualifications:
A Master’s degree degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.

Applicants must be able to document:

  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in AI, machine learning, and their applications in education.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, and familiarity with AI development tools and platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for education and technology.
