SUMMARY

Reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader and working closely with the Principal Scientists, the Research Assistant will work with a team focusing on the characterization of the cellular and humoral immune response. The main responsibilities are the execution of flow cytometry tests.

EDUCATION

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in life sciences such as biology, medical biology or biochemistry/biotechnology.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in flow cytometry is required;
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills;
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in terms of scheduling;
  • Actively participate in the generation, implementation and continuous improvement of the laboratory processes;
  • Willing to work in a High Quality Environment (ISO17025, GCLP, GMP) and apply good documentation procedures (GDP).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cell assays using various flow cytometry techniques and instruments, in accordance with standard operating procedures;
  • Establish and maintain cell cultures;
  • Manage reagent inventories and orders;
  • Participate in writing and/or reviewing SOPs and worksheets;
  • Participate in the technical management of the laboratory;
  • Perform work in accordance with internal quality standards, apply the relevant Quality System procedures and participate in the continuous improvement of Quality documents;
  • Participate in relevant internal training activities.
