JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Research Assistant investigates clinical outcomes data, best practices and new technologies for the advancement of the therapeutic specialty. Is responsible for translating clinical needs into analytic questions, conducting rigorous analyses of health related data, translating analytic findings to promote advancements in clinical care. Drafts manuscripts, surgical video annotation, and statistical analysis. The Research Assistant will collaborate with other medical professionals and present findings at national meetings. Ensures all activities are conducted according to company SOPs, and all applicable GCP and ICH regulations and guidelines.

What you will do in this role:

  • Constructing and manipulating large datasets and knowledge in domain modeling.
  • Statistical modeling and expertise.
  • Analytical techniques to support study design.
  • Completion of abstracts for presentation at national scientific meetings.
  • Assist with data validation, conflict resolution and quality assurance.
  • Managing multiple projects related to a wide variety of business settings and clinical needs.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze needs and requirements.
  • Presenting data or analytic findings in a variety of formats (reports, Power Point, graphs, figures, and tables)
  • Provide direct technical support for research projects of high complexity.
  • Maintain fluent knowledge of terminology and coding procedures used in health care research.
  • Perform data analyst functions that generate knowledge via data mining, visualization, or other analytics.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert leading the establishment of clinical best practices.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in healthcare, research, or other science related field required
  • Knowledge of scientific, medical, and regulatory terms
  • Must have an understanding of clinical research processes
  • High computer literacy and ability to learn new software as required
