QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
In this project, BU CARES has partnered with the Indigenous Peoples’ Centre at Brandon University to facilitate a film and photography-based research project exploring Indigenous youth perspectives on identity. Research assistants’ duties and responsibilities include:
- Preparing literature reviews
- Performing administrative duties to support research activities and events
- Assisting in data collection, data entry, analysis, and interpretation
- Performing data/word processing and record keeping
- Assisting with production of articles, publications, reports, and presentations
and other relevant duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
DUTIES:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Education and training in qualitative research methods
- Education and training related to research involving Indigenous communities
- Experience or knowledge of film or photography production, an asset
- Minimum 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student
- Preference will be given to Indigenous applicants
