QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

In this project, BU CARES has partnered with the Indigenous Peoples’ Centre at Brandon University to facilitate a film and photography-based research project exploring Indigenous youth perspectives on identity. Research assistants’ duties and responsibilities include:

• Preparing literature reviews
• Performing administrative duties to support research activities and events
• Assisting in data collection, data entry, analysis, and interpretation
• Performing data/word processing and record keeping
• Assisting with production of articles, publications, reports, and presentations

and other relevant duties as assigned.

DUTIES:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Education and training in qualitative research methods
• Education and training related to research involving Indigenous communities
• Experience or knowledge of film or photography production, an asset
• Minimum 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student
• Preference will be given to Indigenous applicants
