Description:
The Center for TB Research at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine is seeking a motivated Research Assistant who will support cohort studies and trials in India, South Africa, and Brazil. The Research Assistant will primarily assist in the day-to-day logistical and operational tasks. The Research Assistant will interact with the investigators and collaborators in a research environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in a related discipline with formal training in biostatistics and epidemiology.
- Prior experience analyzing longitudinal datasets and knowledge of TB epidemiology.
- Clinical background in TB is a plus.
- Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work independently on assigned tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and managing datasets.
- Conducting literature reviews.
- Analyzing large longitudinal datasets.
- Drafting sections of manuscripts and grants, and copy-editing and formatting documents.
- Other administrative duties may also be assigned.The RA will work under the direction and mentorship of Dr. Jonathan Golub, Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology, and International Health, and will work closely with the TB Aftermath Study Manager.
