Responsibilities:

  • Quantum chemical simulation of chemical gas phase etching of silicon and silicon dioxide
  • Quantum chemical simulation of catalytic effects in chemical gas phase etching of silicon and silicon dioxide
  • Development of atomistic models of the surface-processes related to gas-phase etching of silicon and silicon dioxide
  • Model-based screening of potential etchants and catalysts with focus on sustainability (optionally supported by machine learning methods)
  • Contribution to model-based sustainability assessment and life-cycle-analysis
  • Adaption and improvement of simulation methods and tools
  • Publication of results in scientific journals and presentation on conferences
  • Cooperation with national and international partners within the European project “Novel approaches for halogen-free and sustainable etching of Silicon and Glass
