Description:
We are searching for an outstanding researcher to join us as the RoyNG lab (X:@RoyNgLab) moves to the exciting Division of Neuroscience at the University of Manchester.
The successful candidate will contribute to cutting edge Hyperion imaging, live and high-resolution imaging and quantitative analysis approaches to understand how microglia are involved in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia. They will also help with general running of the lab and training. Candidates should be passionate about research with previous lab experience in neuroinflammation/ neuroimmunology/ cell biology. Experience in quantitative image analysis/ disease modelling using mice/primary cell and stem cell culture would be advantageous. The main requirement is a professional, organised, and collaborative work ethos, and a willingness to proactively develop creative approaches to challenging research problems.
