The NTU’s Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute (NEWRI) is looking for an enthusiastic individual who will work as a Research Assistant in the area of wastewater treatment and resource recovery. This research position is available in a collaborative project funded by NRF.The purpose of this position is conducting research in nanofiltration membranes with advanced bioprocesses to achieve the set goals for this project.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/environmental engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related disciplines.
• Water and material analysis skills.
• Experiences with wastewater treatment processes, biological treatment, or the related fields would be an advantage.
• Good communication and writing skill in English is essential to prepare research reports.

• Set up and operate hybrid reactor to treat industry wastewater treatment.
• Perform samples analysis using advanced analytical equipment.
• Characterize feed stocks and final products.
• Responsible for data acquisition and processing.
