Le Centre Paul-André Crépeau de droit privé et comparé est à la recherche d’un ou une candidat(e) pour combler un poste d’assistant(e) de recherche à temps plein au sein de son équipe. L’assistant de recherche participera à l’ensemble des activités du Centre Crépeau, contribuant ainsi au rayonnement et au développement de la tradition civiliste québécoise.

L’assistant(e) de recherche accomplira différentes tâches, incluant notamment :

  • Recherche et rédaction pour le projet du Dictionnaire de droit privé et lexiques bilingues - Les personnes;
  • Rédaction de notes lexicographiques portant sur des termes du droit des personnes;
  • Recherches en droit privé québécois;
  • Assister les chercheur·euses étudiant·es du Centre dans leurs recherches;
  • Travail d’édition, de révision et de traduction;
  • Aide à l’organisation d’événements scientifiques (par ex., les Ateliers de droit civil, l’Institut de jurilinguistique).

The Paul-André Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparative Law is looking for a candidate to fill a full-time position of Research-Assistant within its team. The Research Assistant will participate in all of the Crépeau Centre’s activities, thus contributing to the influence and development of the Quebec civil law tradition.
The Research Assistant will perform various tasks such as :

  • Research and writing for the Private Law Dictionary and Bilingual Lexicons - Persons project;

  • Drafting of lexicographical notes relating to terms used in the law of persons;

  • Research in Quebec private law;
  • Assisting the Centre’s student researchers in their research;
  • Editing, revision and translation work;
  • Assistance in the organization of scientific events (e.g., Civil Law Workshops, Institute of Jurilinguistics).

Qualifications Required:

Les candidat·es devraient avoir les qualifications suivantes :

  • Intérêt marqué pour le droit civil et privé, notamment pour le droit des personnes;
  • Intérêt pour la recherche et la rédaction juridiques;
  • Excellente maîtrise des langues française et anglaise;
  • Autonomie, curiosité intellectuelle, souci du détail et rigueur.

Candidates should have the following qualifications :

  • Strong interest in civil and private law, notably in law of persons;
  • Interest in legal research and writing;
  • Proficient in French and English;
  • Autonomy, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail and thoroughness.

Contract End Date: 27 septembre 2024 (avec possibilité de renouvellement) / September 27, 2024 (with possibility of renewal)
