Salary: Attractive salary $82,318- $91,721 per annum (pro rata) + super

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) psycho-oncology research team is seeking a dedicated Research Assistant with a background or current training in Clinical Neuropsychology. This vital role involves conducting neuropsychological assessments for children and adolescents participating in oncology clinical trials and studies at the Children’s Cancer Centre, Royal Children’s Hospital.
This role is offered on a part-time contract for 12 months, with the option to work 15.2 to 30.4 hours per week.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Registered as a Psychologist (General Registration) with the Psychology Registration Board of Australia
Postgraduate training in Clinical Neuropsychology
Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent time management, organisational and analytical problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

Neuropsychological Assessments: Conduct timely neuropsychological assessments and administer quality of life (QoL) measures as needed.
Data Management: Score and collate assessment data, manage relevant databases, and write comprehensive neuropsychological reports.
Coordination: Ensure seamless coordination of assessments, attending relevant research and clinical meetings, and liaising with research and clinical staff to fulfill clinical trial requirements.
Ethics and Reporting: Assist with ethics applications, report to funding bodies, and prepare written and visual materials for study dissemination.
