Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

A part-time (50%) Research Assistant position is available in the school of Biological, Earth & Environmental Sciences (BEES) at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. Duties include assistance with the cultivation of aquatic plants, monitoring of plant traits, water quality assessment and other laboratory analyses. Applicants are expected to have a BSc or MSc in Plant Science or a related subject and have experience in the cultivation of plants and relevant research experience. Good report writing skills are essential. The position will start in July 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Project Title: Plant-Aqua: integrated ecological interactions for intensified aquatic plant cultivation
Post Duration: 4.5 months
Salary: €31,150 - €41,033 pro rata 0.5 FTE (IUA Research Assistant Scale)
