ABOUT US

Research Assistant (Digital Health Platforms) will work under the supervision of Dr. Tarun Katapally, DEPtH Lab Director, and collaborate with DEPtH Lab staff and trainees, in developing, implementing, and evaluating digital health platforms. The Research Assistant will support DEPtH Lab’s data collection/mining, processing, analysis and modeling. The Research Assistant will assist with compiling and analyzing research results and will support knowledge translation and dissemination. The Research Assistant will also support the development and implementation of future research projects. The Research Assistant will join an interdisciplinary team working at the forefront of new digital health technology, solving the challenges that impact both the front end and back-end architecture

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant area of focu

Experience:

  • 1 year of work experience supporting research in a related technical fiel

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

  • Supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of digital health platforms under direction of theprincipal investigator
  • Assists with DEPtH Lab’s data collection/mining, processing, analysis and modeling
  • Collects and compiles data, and assists with data analysis using statistical software as required
  • Composes and records research results, ensuring quality control of data and analyzes results
  • Assists with the data security processes (e.g. Assisting with protocols to ensure that we follow WTS as wellas industry guidelines for data security)
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy
  • Ability to employ a systematic and efficient approach to work
  • Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
  • Ability to collect and analyze data in an objective manner
  • Familiarity with regulations and guidelines governing research
  • Familiarity with methods for research design, implementation, and analysis
  • Familiarity with experimental design and analysis
  • Computer skills with the ability to learn and use software programs
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals
  • Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document technical informatio
