OUR PROFILE
The Chair of Individualized Production develops and investigates automated processes along the whole value chain in construction. A focus is the use of robots for individualized building production. In order to create an environment that allows the efficient production of lot size one, new and user friendly methods for man machine interaction are necessary. Combining the flexibility of robotics with common methods for design-oriented process planning and robot programming. The Chair of IP employs researchers from different fields of robotics and building production to streamline the necessary digital workflow from the initial design to the production process and construction site of the future via intuitive, easy-to-use interfaces.
One of our current research projects is CLOUD56. Here we are investigating the monitoring and optimization of automated steel assembly. This involves connecting various sensors and devices to a cloud server via a 5G network, with data stored and retrieved using a graph database architecture.
We are looking for a student assistant who will assist in the development and maintenance of a graph database for sensor monitoring and steel production data. We offer the opportunity to work with new industrial robots for research and teaching purposes. As an application we expect a cover letter and a CV as one single pdf.
