About The Role
The Research Associate I, Formulations will prepare dose formulation and other study related materials in compliance with relevant regulations including GLP. Be responsible for test/control article receiving, tracking, returning and/or disposition. The Research Associate I, Formulations will also monitor laboratory supplies and cleanliness to provide a clean and regulatory compliant laboratory.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Follow all Altasciences Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and is compliant with GLP, ALCOA+, USDA, and AAALAC.
  • Perform laboratory functions and maintain a clean work environment following appropriate laboratory standards in a consistent and professional manner.
  • Completes training focused on general core skills for the area of work. Understands the importance of the work done at a CRO and how it relates to human and animal health.
  • Contribute to data collection during conduct of research projects in accordance with SOP’s and study protocols.
  • Perform routine procedures (such as sample receipt, sample disposition, basic dose preparation benchwork, etc.).
  • Perform general housekeeping duties such as daily/routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and inventory, etc.
  • Meets acceptable data standards according to the data quality performance standards. Work is done with integrity and can be relied upon. Checks data upon completion. Deviations, edits, etc. are done in a timely manner.
  • Assist other Formulation Research Associates and APC Staff during participation in weekend and evening study related activities, as needed.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree with experience in a research or clinical setting; or high school diploma/GED with one year of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Education in Chemistry or Biochemistry is strongly preferred.
  • Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Problem solving and analysis skills
  • Collaboration, ethical conduct and integrity skills
  • Adaptability, customer focus, communication and active listening skills
  • Time management, organization and thoroughness required
