Description:
We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Automatic Control & Systems Engineering for someone with a passion for healthcare technologies looking to use their skills in integrated systems to make an impact on pre-clinical models of epilepsy.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic group and conduct research in an interdisciplinary
project involving engineers, scientists and clinicians. You should have a good honours degree in the
physical/engineering sciences and hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in engineering/materials
science or in another relevant discipline, which will provide the skills required for the research (or have equivalent experience). Demonstrable interest in some of the following areas: neural engineering, bioelectronics, microfabrication with soft materials will be a significant advantage.
While you will have an opportunity to build on your own research experience and strength to contribute
to the research project, you will also contribute to the reputation of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering Department as the leading department in systems and control. Aptitude for hands-on work in the laboratory and excellent scientific communication skills are essential.
The position is funded through the IntegraBrain project (ERC Starting Grant) and is for a duration of three months.
