Full time starting salary is normally in the range £31,396 to £33,966 with potential progression once in post to £38,205

Responsibilities:
ROLE SUMMARY
The role will contribute to a range of work packages within the IDSV study. In particular they will contribute to the identification and synthesis of existing published evidence and guidance on health outcome measurement. With direction, they will undertake qualitative interviews with survivors, service users, the public and other stakeholders to obtain their views and experiences. This role comprises:
- Supporting all aspects of the research, including planning, study design, data collection, data analysis, and presentation;
- Undertaking administration, management and communication for the wider IDSV study, with support;
- Contributing to teaching and research in the wider Institute.
MAIN DUTIES
- Work with the principal investigators (Dr Louise Jackson, Prof Jonathan Ross), research team, and relevant collaborators to help develop research objectives, study designs, and research protocols;
- As directed, collect research data including using in-depth qualitative interviews and also through literature reviews, document analysis etc.;
- Analyse and interpret data, with support, applying knowledge in a way that develops new intellectual understanding;
- As appropriate, disseminate research findings orally and in written form for publication, conferences, research seminars etc;
- Support the supervision of students on research related work and provide guidance to PhD students and support staff as appropriate;
- With direction, undertake management/administration tasks related to the IDSV project, such as securing ethical approval and running workshops;
- Contribute to the wider research environment in the Institute;
- Support the IARH teaching programmes, particularly in relation to the Masters programme in Health Economics & Health Policy and MPH.
