Description:

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions throughout Germany and is the world’s leading applied research organization. Around 30 800 employees work with an annual research budget of 3.0 billion euros.
Fraunhofer EMFT conducts cutting-edge applied research on sensors and actuators for people and the environment. The about 150 employees in the three locations in Munich, Oberpfaffenhofen and Regensburg possess impressive long-term experience and wide-ranging know-how in the fields of microelectronics and microsystem technology.
The RF Design group focuses on integrated circuits and systems in the mmWave and sub-THz range, specializing in functional interposers, passive structures, and components for chiplet heterointegration. Our goal is to research and develop new solutions for chiplets and their 2.5/3D integration in RF applications. We aim to enable the integration of multiple radar-based sensor modules on non-planar surfaces, such as car cabins, through optimized radar-based sensor chiplet IP. Innovative heterointegration technologies for 2.5/3D integration are essential for realizing flexible multi-module radar-based sensor systems that can be mounted onto non-planar surfaces. Our expertise in flexible integration technology for radar-based sensor modules allows us to provide highly integrated solutions, making it a central competence in our “Sensor Solutions” field.
You have 3+ years of expertise in Radio Frequency Technology? Become a scientist at Fraunhofer EMFT from September 2024!
