Dr. Vincent Mooser’s lab is passionate about the use of genetics and genomics to support drug discovery and development. The CERC has a mission to use cutting-edge genomics and genetics to support the discovery and development of novel therapeutics..
Position Summary:
1. Contribute to the identification and prioritization of opportunities for observational studies and/or interventional trials, to be nested within BioPortal, possibly at the interface with industry.
2. Contribute to the design, execution and the analysis of CERC-driven clinical observational studies, including Ehlers-Danlos cohort, collaboration with CoLaus study, others.
3. Design, participate in the execution and lead the analysis and interpretation of research data and dissemination of results, write research reports.
4. Write theoretical or methodological reports, papers or articles related to research activities.
5. Prepare and write grant applications.
6. Responsible for the quality and results of own work and work of those they supervise.
7. Organize, distribute and verify the work of research staff and participate in their training, including Research Assistants and Undergratuate/Graduate Student Research Assistants
8. Scientifically drive partnership between McGill and Bern University Faculty of Medicine
9. Identify opportunities and supervise analysis of data from academia and industry aiming at understanding the effect of genetic variants within target and related pathway on drug response.
Education/Experience:
1. MD or PhD or equivalent and 5 years or more of research experience.
2. Demonstrated expertise in design, execution and analysis of clinical studies.
3. Demonstrated expertise in public health and statistics.
4. Demonstrated track record in managing clinical research projects.
Other Qualifications:
1. Experience in pharmaceutical company / biotech is an asset
2. Knowledge of the Swiss biomedical landscape is an advantage for building up partnership with Uni Berne

  1. Experience in analysis of rare disease trial is an advantage.
