DESCRIPTION
Job Description
An opportunity exists for a Research Associate to join the ASEAN Consumer & Internet team based in Singapore. The role will entail an understanding of companies in the Consumer/Retail/Internet space in the region. The role will require the candidate to support the Analyst in database management, financial modeling & analysis, client presentations and research report writing.
Key Responsibilities
Creating and maintaining earnings models leveraging skills in accounting, finance and economics
Keeping abreast of consumer/retail/internet industry-related news flow and on-the-ground trends
Researching and writing reports focused on a company, sector or thematic
Responding to requests for data and information from internal and external clients
Assisting in the design and preparation of analyst marketing strategy and materials
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications and Skillset
Bachelor’s degree or above
Have at least 1 year of equity research or relevant industry experience preferred
Knowledge of financial modelling with eye for detail required
Highly motivated with strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills
Ability to effectively work with diverse cultures in a global team with sensitivity and appreciation for diverse cultures
Quick learner with an ability to work well within timelines
Proactive with strong professional accountability
Good communication skills.
