The Cloud Application and Platform Group (CAP) Group from School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is seeking 1 motivated Research Associate in the topic of “Digital Twin for Advanced Battery Analytics”, who is responsible for developing and designing front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications, and working alongside graphic designers for system design features, among other duties. He/she will take a key role in participating in the development and implementation strategy of a cloud AI platform for industrial application, e.g., data center operations and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Documented steps for initiation of designs (e.g., functional specification)
• Description of system requirement for the entire set up within an organization
• Diagnosing the issue and resolving it on demand
• Developing front end website architecture
• Designing user interactions on web pages
• Developing back end website applications
• Creating servers and databases for functionality
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications
• Working for web design features
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product
• Designing and developing APIs
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs
• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages
• Have an idea for fixing the system problems in case of sudden system failure or crash

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science from a recognized university
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Familiar with building web applications with web frameworks such as Flask, Django
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React and Amber
• Proficiency with server side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP and .Net
• Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB
• Excellent verbal communication skills and good problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Fluent spoken and written English
