Description:
Applications are invited for a Research Associate to join the Targeted Therapy Group to drive forward a collaborative research project between the Division of Cancer Sciences and the Lydia Becker Institute of Immunology and Inflammation. The post will be tenable on a fixed term basis from until 01st October 2024- 31st March 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join the Targeted Therapy Group to investigate RT-induced ECM and immunomodulatory changes that dictate tumour and normal tissue inflammatory responses, and to inform clinical interventions to improve the therapeutic ratio, tumour control and outcomes. The successful candidate will be required to work across two sites the newly developed Paterson Building, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust alongside scientists in the Targeted Therapy Group, and the University of Manchester main campus, Oxford Road, with researchers in other branches of the Lydia Becker Institute.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a background in Cancer Immunology. The post holder will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, will have excellent communication and organisational skills and a proven track record of delivering impactful research. A publication record in peer-reviewed journals would be advantageous.
