SUMMARY
Dr. Jayasundera, a retinal specialist and researcher, and Dr. Fresco, a distinguished professor of psychiatry, are excited to announce a rewarding one-year research opportunity for a motivated individual seeking to gain admission to medical school.
The focus of this position is to develop a comprehensive patient-reported outcomes (PRO) instrument for diabetic retinal diseases. This instrument will assess various factors such as visual disabilities, anxiety related to vision impairment, challenges in glucose control affecting retinal disease management, and experiences with ophthalmological treatments and appointments.
As a research assistant, you will play a crucial role in the creation of this new PRO instrument, contributing to innovative solutions in the management of diabetic retinal diseases. The position will provide a holistic experience, including drafting manuscripts for publication in esteemed peer-reviewed journals and presenting findings at conferences.
