Description:

Overview
RTI’s Center for Education Evaluation and Research (CEER) has an opening for a Research Education Analyst.
CEER serves its clients by conducting evaluations and research to provide the rigorous evidence needed to influence policy and practice, transform systems, and improve outcomes, particularly for students of color and other historically disenfranchised communities. As a team, we conduct evaluations and data analysis; report our results; and support technical assistance, survey research, data collection, and technology development with other centers within RTI’s Education Practice Area. Our clients include government agencies at all levels, foundations, and other nonprofit organizations in the United States.
The individual chosen will provide a broad range of supports to existing and new projects, including developing and implementing research and technical assistance plans for large scale change initiatives at federal, state, and local levels; communicating results orally and in writing to external clients and internal colleagues; and leading and managing project tasks and budgets. The successful candidate will have expertise in the research and application of implementation of evidence-based practices in elementary and secondary education settings for federal, state, and local agencies and other clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as lead for tasks focused on developing the capacity of educators and education agencies to use implementation and improvement science approaches for sustained use of evidence-based practice.
  • Tasks may involve providing technical assistance, conducting training or coaching sessions, administering capacity assessments, collecting implementation and fidelity data, creating learning materials and resources, and disseminating best practices and practitioner-oriented support materials, among others.
  • Perform analyses, write descriptive and analytic reports, and prepare other project deliverables for applied research and evaluation efforts.
  • Contribute to client engagement and business development in the arena of implementation and improvement science.
  • Lead both the business and technical portions of grant or contract proposals.
  • Write proposal sections of moderate technical complexity requiring application of implementation science theories and methodologies.
  • Contribute to peer-reviewed publications, participate in professional meetings and associations, and develop tools and methods to advance RTI’s capabilities.
  • Communicate clearly in writing (e.g., project reports; peer-reviewed publications) and orally with internal and external clients.
  • Support and implement RTI’s quality management and client listening programs.
  • Contribute to project work at defined direct project rate (DPR) targets
