We have an exciting opportunity at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre for someone with a passion for engineering, eager to utilize their manufacturing skills to make a positive impact on UK productivity.
As a Research Engineer focusing on fault diagnosis and control of manufacturing systems, you will collaborate with our Process Monitoring and Control (PM&C) team to develop advanced process monitoring technologies and control techniques for the manufacturing sector. Your primary responsibilities will involve the development of signal processing, artificial intelligence techniques and control strategies to optimise the performance of manufacturing systems. Additionally, you will independently plan, execute, and collect data from experimental test rigs, including robotic cells.
Over time, this position is expected to evolve into one that offers technical leadership within the PM&C team, as well as supports other team members within our organisation. The overarching goal is to advance the development of additional research avenues related to fault diagnosis and control of manufacturing systems.
