Description:
The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and develop a methodology/framework for 2D/3D object detection.
- Research and develop a methodology/framework for 2D/3D semantic segmentation.
- Report its research findings in a form of a report and/or present its research findings in international peer-reviewed conferences/journals.
- Involve in the mentoring of PhD/Masters/FYP students
Job Requirements:
- Possess a PhD degree in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Experience in point cloud analytics and machine learning
- Deep understanding and rich hand-on experience in deep networks
- Good communication skills in English
- Background knowledge in computer vision and/or point cloud processing.
- Prior research experience in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision.
- Mastering of a programming language would be valued (e.g. Python, Matlab…)
- Self-driven, highly motivated, with interest to work with other researchers and scientists (team player) to produce high-quality research.
