WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate for this role is one with a demonstrated ability to conduct quantitative research and publish outcomes in high-quality peer-reviewed journals. You should possess strong quantitative research skills, including econometrics, data analytics, and statistics. Experience in contributing to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations is essential. Additionally, the you should have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
You will also have:
- Postgraduate / PhD qualifications in health economics, health services research, industrial engineering, or operations management with a demonstrated interest in cancer genomics
- Demonstrated high level communication skills and capacity to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Experience with healthcare cost data and hospital registries is desirable

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Research Fellow, Health Economics will provide health economics expertise to a range of (externally) funded projects to determine if research outputs are economically viable. This position will be expected to produce high quality research outputs. The Research Fellow, Health Economics will assist with the preparation of research proposals, and will be expected to provide input into decisions about future studies, including the sourcing of potential funds and the development of grant applications. This position may also supervise or co-super of major honours or postgraduate research project within the research area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- With broad direction from the supervisor, conducting research consistent with the needs of the group and the agreed research program
- Producing high quality research outputs
- Disseminating research findings through leading peer reviewed journals and presentations at conferences and other forums where appropriate
