Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated post-doctoral scientist with experience in image processing and analysis that could support our expanding PET research programme.
You will have the opportunity to join the “PET is Wonderful” team working at the University of Edinburgh to develop new PET imaging biomarkers. We have a vibrant and rapidly expanding programme of PET research with over 25 different radiotracers in our current portfolio. You will have the opportunity to work on academic and industry-sponsored projects across the medical research pipeline from organic chemistry (bench) to clinical imaging (bedside). The University of Edinburgh houses three preclinical PET systems and three clinical PET systems coupled with CT or MRI. Our radiochemistry facility has also recently been upgraded and expanded to house eleven hot cells (3 dedicated to R&D use and 8 for GMP productions) and a cyclotron. This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and regular on-campus working. This post is fixed term, for 24 months initially.
