Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the School of Biological Sciences in the role of a Research Fellow, playing a crucial role in part of a collaborative team of researchers.
Reporting to the chief investigator, you will work closely with a Future Fellow, research assistants and graduate students as part of a groundbreaking research project focused on integrating protected and conserved areas to create effective conservation landscapes and seascapes. You will also develop and apply tools to evaluate conservation areas that support existing marine and terrestrial protected areas.
The successful candidate in this role will have a PhD in conservation science, applied ecology, decision science, marine ecology, environmental science, or a closely related field. You will also have demonstrated analytical skills, spatial analysis or social research methods, and experience with, or knowledge of marine science is desirable.
