Applicants should have a doctorate in physics with extensive research experience (including experience with experimental techniques RF electronics, microwave resonators, high quality optical resonators, electro-optic interactions, superconducting microwave circuits, nonlinear optics, and quantum optics), be highly motivated, and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Applications are invited for a Research Fellow position within our Department.
The successful candidate will provide research and development support on experimental aspects of RF power measurements and quantum transduction as well as studying their properties, under the direction of Associate Professor Harald Schwefel in the Department of Physics.
Key tasks will include:
- Conduct investigations into RF power measurements and quantum transduction.
- Provide leadership in development of new areas of related research.
- Assist in the development of graduate student skills.
- Participate in Dodd-Walls centre group activities.
- Maintain effective collaborative working relationships with other project staff including international, European collaborators involving personal travel.
