We are looking for a full-time Research & Insights Manager reporting to our Marketing Science department. This role will partner primarily with our Global Business Solutions marketing and sales teams to empower them with scientifically backed data at scale to educate clients through thought leadership, and elevate TikTok within the industry.

What you will do

  • Lead a team of research & insights partners conducting research projects that touch consumer or creative insights where your ability to bring in unique ways to build research hypotheses will empower the quality of your work
  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, in front of C-suite
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners (business marketing, creative, ad product, sales, industry relations, partnerships, measurement) to address knowledge gaps in our understanding of TikTok users and their behavior

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field (e.g., market research, psychology, data science) or equivalent workplace experience with a focus on quantitative methods; graduate degree’s in a science, mathematics, operations, business, digital marketing, behavioral psychology, or survey-based research methods
  • A track record of 5 years implementing and managing insights programs for complex organizations and managing a team
  • Experience with advertising research suppliers in the US/Canada and conducting research globally and going above and beyond to show how research drives behavior change inside an organization
  • Proficiency quantitative methods that include statistical concepts and survey design is a must, as well as with individual and group based qualitative methods
  • Exceptional time and goal-oriented task management skills as well as impactful thought leadership with a strong perspective

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with industry research on digital platforms, media, tech and research providers
  • Experience working in the realm of advertising creative and creators
  • Interest in working in a fast paced environment with global talent
  • Intellectual curiosity with the latest research and operational methods needed for this role
  • Exceptional budget requisition and management, in addition to experience in reviewing research contracts
  • Experience with SQL, HIVE, R and other statistical packages

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $110000 - $165000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
