Description:
THE POSITION
We are seeking a highly motivated Lab Scientist to join our Cancer Research team in Vienna.
This position will strengthen our multi-disciplinary research team focused on developing innovative drugs for cancer patients. It offers a unique possibility to directly contribute at the forefront of drug discovery and to have an immediate impact on the development of novel cancer therapies.
Collaborative, well-connected teams are key to our success so we are looking for candidates who are strong team players.
This is a full-time, fixed term contract for 3 years with option for extension.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant education (e.g.: Master’s degree in biology or a related discipline) and 1 year or more laboratory experience
- Of advantage is hands-on experience with in vitro cell viability assays (2D/3D), cellular assays, protein-biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, as well as a good understanding of current concepts in cancer research
- Strong team spirit, communication and presentation skills, good data management skills, self-organized and independent working style, creative thinking, and an agile mindset
- English as a working language & solid command of German

Responsibilities:
- Independent planning, coordination, execution, analysis and documentation of in vitro experiments in the area of molecular and cellular biology
- Continuous design, development and optimization of in vitro methods and techniques
