Description:
DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Research, in coordination with the Research Facilitators, this position will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative support to the Associate Dean of Research (ADR), including calendar management, scheduling and organizing meetings, drafting routine emails and letters, and managing Zoom account.
- Provide administrative functions to the Research Office in a professional and confidential manner
- Responsible for maintenance and organization of administrative files in the Research Office.
- Assist with the preparation of research related reports
- Organize, plan, coordinate and promotes Research Office events and annual events highlighting King’s research achievements and liaising with various units at King’s.
- Responsible for record keeping and monitoring related to the King’s Research Excellence Fund and internal research grants.
- Coordinates annual internal award competitions.
- Track Research Assistant contracts, monitor contract commitments from research grant funds, and check fund balances as needed.
- Code and process research assistant contracts and Research Grant Requests for Reimbursement and maintain records of processed contracts and reimbursements.
- Assist the Research Office in managing and completing annual and final financial reports (e.g., F300s, end of study reports) for internal and external grants.
- Works with Communication department to create research communications and updates to the King’s Research website.
- Serving as the Primary administrative support for the Research Ethics Review Committee (RERC).
- Additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (UNLESS IDENTIFIED AS PREFERRED):
- College Diploma
- Bachelor’s/ Honors Degree is preferred.
- 2+ years of previous relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Strong numeracy skills and experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive materials
- Completion of the TCPS 2: CORE-2022 (Course on Research Ethics) Certificate is an asset.
