Annual Salary Range: $80,000-$130,000; Open to discussion depending on the working experience.

Job Overview:
At iHealth, we’re dedicated to revolutionizing chronic care management through the integration of cutting-edge technology and innovative practices. Our Strategy & Research department seeks a dedicated Research Scientist with expertise in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) to enhance the market presence of our digital health solution, iHealth Unified Care, specifically designed for the management of chronic diseases.
Role Overview: The Research Scientist will play a critical role in spearheading health economics and outcomes research initiatives, under the guidance of the Director of Research and Strategic Partnership. This position demands active collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective HEOR strategies, perform in-depth data analyses, and produce compelling evidence. The objective is to articulate the value and demonstrate the tangible return on investment of the iHealth Unified Care solution to a diverse audience, including healthcare payers, patients, clinical institutions, and other essential decision-makers in the healthcare industry

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership in HEOR: Spearhead the formulation and execution of comprehensive Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategies, initiatives, and publications. This role supports iHealth’s commitment to Value Based Care, driving the business strategy forward through evidence-based insights.
  • Evidence Generation and Gap Analysis: Identify and address gaps in evidence supporting the iHealth Unified Care digital health solutions. Design, conduct, and deliver rigorous studies, models, and tools aimed at enhancing value demonstration and distinguishing iHealth products in the competitive healthcare market.
  • Collaboration with Clinical Partners: work with clinical partners to gather data on insurance costs and clinical outcomes. Develop and implement healthcare cost efficiency models, providing detailed reports and insights into the ROI of iHealth Unified Care solutions in managing chronic diseases.
  • Data Analysis and Management: Work in tandem with the data engineering team to perform retrospective data analyses, manage clinical datasets, and produce tailored outcomes reports for clinical partners, enhancing decision-making processes and outcomes.
  • Academic Partnerships and Publication: Lead the charge in collaborating with academic institutions for nuanced data interpretation. Ensure the timely delivery of HEOR findings through publications and presentations at leading scientific conferences, thereby contributing to the broader scientific community.
  • Clinical Operations Analytics: Utilize analytics to extract insights from clinical operations, aiming at the optimization of care management processes to improve clinical outcomes.
  • Quality Analytics in Patient Care: Partner with the patient care operations team to conduct analyses on care quality. This involves defining and refining internal care quality metrics, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Competitive Insights and AI Application: Maintain a proactive approach in gathering insights from competitors, identifying opportunities for product differentiation, and exploring potential applications of Artificial Intelligence in enhancing iHealth’s offerings.
  • Market Research for Strategic Planning: Conduct thorough market research to inform and support strategic planning for iHealth’s Value Based Care initiatives, ensuring alignment with market needs and trends.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD, Master or equivalent combination of education and experience in healthcare economics, public health, or healthcare related field
  • 2+ years prior research experience on clinical and health claims data
  • Deep understanding of the US healthcare system and economics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of effectiveness as a team player; excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to internal and external change

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in digital health innovations and AI applications in healthcare
  • Clinical background with experience in chronic disease management
  • Prior experience in health insurance actuarial analysis
  • Demonstrated high degree of strategic thinking and decision-making
