EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in lab sciences such as biology, biochemistry, immunology, chemistry, molecular biology or similar

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • OR Masters degree and previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable 6+ years)
  • OR PhD and previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable 4+ years)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Independently performs analytical testing, method optimization, and/or other specialty technologies studies OR method transfers for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and/or delivery systems. Understands and conforms to methods, and protocols applicable to assigned tasks.
  • Experience performing molecular genomics assays: nucleic acid purification, qPCR, RT-qPCR, ddPCR, RT-ddPCR, Sanger sequencing
  • Designs and completes experiments independently, or as part of a group
  • Prepares and reviews study protocols, project status reports, final study reports and other project-related technical documents
  • Communicates data and technical issues to clients as needed
  • Leads analytical (procedural and instrumental) trouble shooting sessions
  • Validated problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Confirmed ability in technical writing skills
  • Ability to train junior staff

Responsibilities:

  • Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours.
