Description:

SUMMARY

The section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is seeking a Research Technician I for Dr. Francesca Polverino’s Lab. Applicants are sought to support laboratory investigations and perform the routine elements of research work that requires the use of skills, technical and academic knowledge to follow established procedures and record results. We are seeking highly self-motivated individuals to provide research support, technical assistance, and lab organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Basic Science or related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments.
  • Collects, compiles, and analyzes data.
  • Conducts literature search and summarize information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
  • Documents results of experiments.
  • Selects, evaluates, and applies techniques used in routine research.
  • Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
