Description:

SUMMARY

A Research Technician III position is available in James Martin’s lab in the Department of Integrative Physiology to study multiple facets of cardiac biology and regenerative medicine. The Martin lab focuses on understanding how developmental pathways are connected to adult tissue regeneration. We use a variety of biochemical, biophysical, imaging, genomic, and computational approaches to investigate the genetic pathways that regulate cardiac organ development and homeostasis. Our lab performs computational and wet-lab work, though the ideal candidate should have experience in molecular biology, genomics, cell biology, and/or informatics. The successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Developmental Biology, Cardiovascular Science, or related fields. Previous experience using the laboratory mouse and cell culture is highly preferred but not required. The candidate will conduct research project(s), design and perform biological experiments rigorously, work collaboratively with investigators within and outside the lab, be highly organized and communicative, and maintain a high work ethic.
