Description:
We are seeking to hire a Research Technologist to work under the general supervision of a faculty investigator or laboratory supervisor. Will be responsible for processing human fluids and/or tissue or cultured cell lines. In addition, will assist in routine tests on animal and data analyses. Basic understanding of theory behind experiments and applies basic analytical skills to implement assigned projects, and to identify and trouble-shoot situations needing special attention.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Some related post-undergraduate work experience.

Responsibilities:
- Basic use of scientific methods, procedures and techniques gained through previous training and experience.
- Focus on supporting a biobank of samples from patients of colorectal, cholangio, and HCC cancer. This will include processing, storage, and inventorying of human samples.
- Follows established procedures or protocols and utilizes aseptic technique to perform laboratory tests and/or experiments which may include basic and advanced tissue culture, cell separation methods, human clinical and surgical samples, immunochemistry, basic molecular biology, or other specialized histology and biological science techniques including flow cytometry.
- Animal, injection, and tissue harvest from mice will be performed.
- Collaborates with other groups and shared work environments.
- Applicant will be required to order and restock supplies, keep track of supply quantities, and be involved in the maintenance of laboratory equipment.
