Description:
Required Qualifications
BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years. Applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with crystal growth, instrumentation development, and the study of quantum materials, especially complex oxides.
Job Duties
Work on crystal growth and characterization, instrument development, and study of the physical properties of complex oxide superconductors. Experiments will include transport and magnetization measurements.
60% Experiments
Prepare experiments (crystal growth and characterization, instrument development)
Conduct experiments (especially transport and magnetization measurements)
25% Data Analysis
Review and analyze experimental results
15% Communication of Research
Meet with Supervisor to discuss research
Prepare presentations
Create written documents to report on research.
Other duties of a similar scope as assigned.
