MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. Grade 6
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This part-time position will entail performing cellular and molecular biology experiments related to a NIDCR R01 grant: ensuring appropriate data storage and presentation. Major skills include cellular biology, histology, immunology, molecular biology, cell culture, ELISA, blots. Be able to work independently and mentor students. The project will take place within the Oral Immunology and Infectious Diseases research group at the School of Dentistry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct research in the field of cell biology, immunology, and molecular biology in consultation with the PI.
- Organize data collection related to research projects.
- Prepare written reports and documents pertaining to data management, research methodology, and study results.
- Read background literature.
- Maintain relevant training and compliance.
- Maintain laboratory biological and chemical stock materials.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MD and PhD in relevant field
Over 10 years’ experience in biological research
